Hey, I still don’t get the Quadrant Vacillation stuff and the Double Reach-Around there. Please explain.
double reach-around is basically where those in a quadrant will flip between red and black. this is usually okay and isn’t a ‘problem relationship’ but karkat states that his relationship with terezi broke down because she was tired of him constantly flipping. aradia/equius and tavros/vriska are other examples.
group vacillation is where you can add another person into the mix!
so while karkat and terezi are red, dave and terezi are black. while dave and terezi are red, karkat and terezi are black.
essentially, the idea behind this is that karkat would get to be in her red quadrant, as would dave—they’d just be at different times, so they’d be sticking to the rules that were laid out in the double reach around.
this then leaves room for interesting combinations!
but what this depends on is the ability of everyone within the triangle/square/chain to be able to flip at the same time. if one person doesn’t flip then the person in the middle is either stuck cheating, or pulling out of the quadrant. it looks pretty unstable and is completely dependant on one person. so if one person feel in the mood to swap, everyone has to swap—which doesn’t look like it could work out too well in the 12 chain.
also the important thing to remember is that just because people are in a chain, it doesn’t mean they’re in a relationship with everyone else in the chain. for example, with the vriska/terezi/dave/karkat idea, karkat is only in a quadrant with terezi and vriska—but that quadrant can change based on whether dave flips with vriska and terezi too.
the same in the 12 chain, karkat is only in a quadrant with aradia and feferi, but if any single person in that whole chain flips, then karkat/aradia/feferi must also flip.
Ahh hello there! Could you please rip Jade from panels ?s=6&p=008127 | ?s=6&p=008128 | ?s=6&p=008129 | ?s=6&p=008239 | ?s=6&p=008240 | I'm sorry if its to much trouble, ;;w;; [[ I love your blog, by the way! Its very helpful ^u^ ]]
So, this Anon asked me about the best of my Rufioh’s cosplay, and since it’s handmade, the only think that I can do is a quick tutorial.
For the vest, I’ve used leatherette. I took the patterns from an old vest that I have in my wardrove, and it’s something like the shitty drawing on paint (you have to make the black pieces, that atre the front, and one green, that’s the bag) Give the shape that you prefer. Don’t worry so much, it’s quite easy :))
Then, I made all the bones with paper clay. I’ve made 10 for the front (5 at each side), 4 for the shoulders and finally 4 for the back. I gave the bones to Aria’s dad, marking where I wanted the two holes for each bone -Since I don’t have tools like dremels and all that.
Finally, I embroidered the bones using an embroidery needle and gray string (I used Anchor’s brand). Making an “8” with the string will help to attach better the bones to the vest and keep them strong!
And the last part is make two holes in the back, so you can put on and off your wings.
Hope this will help -and sorry for my english, I know it pretty sucks x__D)
Great stuff construction foam. Buy it at Home Depot or Lowe’s or any home improvement place. One bottle should be more than enough if you are conservative, and read the directions. Tip: empty out the entire bottle at once, in small(ISH) chunks to make chunks for horns. Store the excess in a box or something. (The tube it comes out of tends to clog)
Aluminum foil.
A knife.
A knife sharpener. (Optional but recommended)
A prickly animal brush, for cats or dogs. As long as it has little wire spikes you should be ok.
Something thin and pointy, like a sewing needle or pin.
Flat cardboard or something to cover your workspace.
Three brushes- one tiny, one small, one medium.
Acrylic paint in the following colors- dark brown, red, orange, yellow, black, white.
Water, a towel- regular brush cleaning supplies.
A sharpie of any color.
A foam ball.
Wood glue.
Thin wooden dowels, approximately 5.
Paperclay, approximately 80-100 oz. Buy a few and then buy more, if possible- it’s pricey and it’s hard to keep stored, but if you have extra, put it in an airtight ziploack bag with a sprinkle of water. It’ll be okay as long as it’s not in the sun.
