Wigs can make or break a cosplay. It’s very important to find the right wig for your character, and to take a lot of effort in styling it! I would encourage cosplayers to always get a wig and never use your real hair, especially for homestuck cosplays! Wigs are easier to style, hold their shape, and look more right and smooth than your hair. Also, if you’re graying up, a wig will hide your hairline so your skin doesn’t show behind the gray!

-See my Wig Buying, Styling, and Care Master Guide for more wig sellers. I highly recommend consulting it after buying your wig for styling help. It is very important that you style each and every wig you get :)

-This is my favorite seller, and a lot of the wigs I’m going to recommend are from them. If anything says it’s out of stock, just wait a few weeks to a month and they will restock all of their wigs eventually. Again, see my Wig Buying, Styling and Care guide for more sellers

-If any of the ebay wigs are sold, there is usually a list of items like the wig under it, and you can probably find it there. If not, check the seller to see if they relisted it under a different URL.

-Even if the wig looks exactly like your character, you will still need to style it. Wig bangs come purposely long so you can style them to your needs. 

-A lot of people will recommend this wig, or something else like it for Vriska, Jade, Aradia, Feferi, etc… DO NOT GET IT! Anyone who has gotten it, including me, will warn you: It tangles immediately and looses all of its curl after one use

-A lot of people get the same wigs for Jade, Aradia, Feferi, and Vriska, but their hairstyles are actually all different. Aradia’s is very curly, all the way to the top of the wig. Viska’s can be curly at the middle/bottom, or straight and teased depended on your headcanon. Feferi’s hair is curly, and is pulled back so you can see her hairline. Jade’s is straight and very teased. Now these are just from interpreting the sprites. I am in no way saying that Jade cosplayers with curly hair are wrong. I’m just stating my opinion of the sprites.

• • Jade: Most people get curly wigs for Jade, but she actually has teased, straight hair. If your headcanon is that she is curly, look under Vriska and Aradia. Check my master wig styling post listed above for help with teasing. (This is the wig I got, but it’s not that great. I recommend this one (remember it’s the cosplaywig.com seller so if it’s out of stock, just keep checking later.)) then there are these here, here, here, here,here, here, here, here, here, here, and here, I suggest teasing it by backcombing and spiking with hair wax.

  • Aradia:(This is the amazing, perfect, beautiful one I got. This one is very much like it. Also this one is flajdfjaasdfjajg beautiful. If it says it’s sold, then that just means it is out of stock, so wait for them to relist it) Then there are these here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here, Look under Vriska for more possible choices. 
  • Tavros:Honestly, there is no perfect wig for Tavros out there. Chances are, you’re going to end up styling a wig. This wig looks like it might be good quality, and long enough! I’ve seen a lot of cosplayers use this wig, by cutting the tail off and styling it. You could get a wig that’s black and poofy, and cut the sides off, then sew the remaining strip to a bald cap. This lovely tutorial shows you how, but it’s in Japanese so you’ll have to put it through google translate. There is this person’s method.
  • Sollux: here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. 
  • Karkat: Here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. See John for more options.
  • Nepeta: Since there isn’t any wig out there close to her style, you really need to style the banks and curl a medium length, black, straight wig. I gotthis one and styled it. This is another good base option. See my FAQ for how I styled it. Also, see my Wig Styling guide for more info on curling and cutting. 
  • Kanaya: here, here, here, here
  • Terezi: I recommend this one or this one from cosplaywig.com. Also this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, and this one look very nice. This one would need to be cut shoulder length.
  • Vriska: (I got this one from cosplaywig.com and you can see me wearing it here. In that picture, I left the wig alone without styling it. Later, I ran my fingers through the curls and it looks much better, like it does in the seller’s picture. There’s also this one from the same seller that looks pretty rad. Though I would personally use it for Meulin). Then there are these here,here, here, here, here, here, here,here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. Look under Aradia for more possible choices. 
  • Equius: These wigs are practically perfect for him, I would just trim the ends so that it’s straighter and add the straight side banks. These wigs are good but you’d have so style a cowlick. For styling a cowlick, these tutorials are fantastic.
  • Gamzee: Keep in mind all of the wigs I recommend for Gamzee need to be seriously spiked/curled/styled. Consult my Wig Styling Guide for help. There are possible Gamzee wigs here, here,here, here, here, and here. See Dolorosa for more options. 
  • Eridan: There really aren’t any perfect Eridan wigs, so you have to do a lotof styling. I highly recommend going by this Eridan wig styling video tutorial, which uses this wig as a base. These are two great hairline tutorials to finalize the wig.  There are also these wig bases:here and here, and wig extensions/weft/clips: Here,

  Alpha Trolls:

  • Damara: A lot of these are the same wig, but many of the sellers only had 2-5 left so I wanted to give lots of options in case they sold out. Yay wigs here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here. Bun here. You can also get a long, straight, black, wig and cut the back veeeery short, and stick a bun at the top. You can’t pull an unstyled wig back (unless you want to consult my Wig Styling guide and sew wefts in) so I would advise spending the money and getting the pre-styled wigs above. 
  • Rufioh: here. Or you can get these wigs and combine them using this tutorial.
  • Mituna: here, and here. See Karkat for more.
  • Kankri: See Karkat. Remember, Kankri’s hair is styled very differently than Karkat, but you can still use the same wig. That’s what I do and it looks accurate. 
  • Meulin: Omg I would so get this beauty for her (and probably will). There’s also these here, here, here, here, here, 
  • Porrim: A Perfect Porrim wig does not exist because her hair is so voluminous. Consult my Wig Styling guide on how to add volume to a wig. Possible wigs are here, here, here, here

Okay, I was going to do a huge set, but I kinda lost interest some months ago and these have been gathering dust on my hard drive since then. However, I was reminded of them the other day when my Leprechaun shipping pixels started getting notes again. Here, take them.
