okay actually if i just post that then people can stop sending asks about god tiers… eugh these are just really basic.. some god tiers have more to them and some have multiple aspects/meanings/speculations.. this is just stripping each down to the most basic that i can think of so you can get a sense of what your title does
thief = stealer of x for self
rogue = stealer of x for group
bard = insights destruction of/through x
prince = destroyer of x/destroys with x
sylph = healer of/provider of x
witch = manipulator of x
[speculated] heir = one who protects himself with/through x
[speculated] maid = one who protects a group with/through x
[speculated] mage = receives knowledge through x
seer = receives knowledge of x
[speculated] page = one who weaponizes others with x
knight = one who weaponizes x
muse/lord = unknown: there isn’t even enough in canon for me to speculate without being completely fanon
space = space
time = time
light = fortune
breath = wind/freedom
void = nothing
mind = actions/thoughts
heart = souls
rage = emotions/anger
hope = hope (symbols of hope too)
doom = death/hopelessness

blood = bonds/relationships

What exactly do "passive" god tier classes do? From what I've heard they 'are manipulated by' their aspect, but what does that mean? It sounds like they are kind of useless/don't do anything... Anonymous
whaat? oh man, passive characters are really useful!! i mean look at rose: she’s a passive class and her guidance has saved the beta kids on so many occasions.
UU: the +/- distinction can mean many things, bUt coUld be qUite roUghly sUmmed Up in this way: active classes exploit their aspect to benefit themselves, while passive classes allow their aspect to benefit others.
UU: bUt of coUrse there’s plenty more to it, and that rUle is in no way absolUte. only a starting point for Understanding the dichotomy.
for example, rogue and thief! we see vriska steals for herself on many occasions–although her actions could potentially help the group, almost every she does is in self interest. on the other hand, roxy was stealing pumpkins and sharing them out with her neighbours?? her black out should also be there to cover her group as a whole to protect them
there’s also the passive bard and active prince–the bard allows something to be destroyed or insights destruction through their aspect–while a prince will directly destroy with their aspect or destroy the aspect itself. the active prince of hope (eridan) was essentially useless to the group because he destroyed hope.
like calliope said, there’s differences within–but a passive class is no way useless!!!
If we make troll horns, could they be commissioned for sale online (ex. on tumblr) would that go against the no selling homestuck merch? I see homestuck things being given out in giveaways all the time... is it the same deal? Anonymous
no, you can’t comission troll horns for sale
i believe giveaways are fine because nothing is being sold for profit of the gifter (apart from followers i guess..) but it’s the lack of monetary value that makes it okay
