ehhh, I’ll admit, I’ve been coming across some problems with the original plan for the guide

with all the amazing tutorials on the masterlist, and also the entire wiki, I’m not sure how much I can put in a guide that isn’t already easily findable

seriously, have you seen this shit

hell, I actually wrote two of those, in my old pre-mod days

what I’m saying is

unless there’s a huuuuuge desire for me to just copy/paste the entire homestuck wiki to make it more accessible then I might………… rethink what the goal here is?

I mean…… ideally, I would be able to write this guide without explaining too many basic game mechanics

according to the survey I did a while back, the things people want to know more about the most are

• fraymotifs
• the ultimate riddle
• the forge
• frog temples
• underlings
• ectobiology

so I think that I might use PART 1 of the guide as….. a chance to elaborate on the stranger and more obscure parts of SBURB? more specifically, to tell you how to determine what they’d be for your session and why they’re important/necessary, or maybe why they might not be

basically, I’d write the guide assuming that everyone using the guide has read homestuck and understands the basics of planets/dream selves/god tiers/sylladexes/etc.

obviously, I could write about all of that stuff, but it would be really sad and painful for me and I hope that no one else would really need it

anyway, PART 2 of the guide is something that I feel would be a lot more useful and needed, and it’d just be a huuuuuuuge template to fill out full info on absolutely every last detail in your session

and I could even……. put in links with all the different terms leading to wiki pages/resources to help explain things to you? that would probably be a good idea, now that I think about it

so uh

to answer your question……

the guide is going slowly but surely, and the best thing followers can do to help me right now is continue giving feedback on current ideas and such, and aalso

pretty soon there will be editor/co-writer/beta tester opportunities, but I don’t know how soon, so you might have to wait a little while

sorry, but the only dancestor sprites on the masterlist are

Mituna Sprites, Kankri Sprites, Meulin Sprites

I know that a sprite sheet for all of them exists somewhere, though, so if someone would like to submit that to us (with artist credit), that’d be great!
