ok. there has been some debate in the homestuck fandom about whether Karkat, Kanaya, and all them are the Alpha trolls or the Beta trolls. I always thought they were the alpha trolls since they were post-scratch (following the same logic as the alpha and beta kids), but people seem to think that the alpha trolls are Kankri, Porrim, etc. Which is it?

I thought the ancestors had the same weird ectobiology bullshit going on with them and the trolls as the kids did? Does that mean the ancestors and their descendants are stuck in an endless loop of being each other's ancestors?

oh, in the case of the trolls playing sgrub y eah they have some weird ectobiology goin on. the dancestors said themselves they don’t even know which set was made first so they kind of are stuck in an endless loop which is why they coined the term dancestors 8’)

Hasn't Gamzee time traveled before even though he's not a time player? He had Aradia's time machine at one point which were visible when he was talking to Jane before selling her potions.

Why in some panels do we see the godtier trolls with their wings, but in others we don't, even though by then they've already reached godtier?

can you time travel when you're god tier even if you're not a hero of time? i'm asking this because i saw Vriska coming back in time when she met John again, and i wanted to know if she could to that due to the god tier.

no, only the time player can do that! vriska’s never traveled back in time before, i think you’re talking about is when she met john from the alternate timeline where he died and had only one conversation with her to remember o:

hAha yeah that’s p easy to make bc most of them didn’t reach god tier

the one’s we do know who ascended to god tier are

- meenah, who was beat up by damara and carried to her quest cocoon by aranea

- and aranea, whose cause of death is unknown

the rest of the alpha trolls (as well as meenah and aranea for a 2nd time) were killed by meenah who set off an explosion right before they scratched their session so they could keep existing in the dream bubbles
