don’t worry, ghosting is really annoying. i’m not sure how to turn it off in gimp but in photoshop all you have you do is right click on each frame in the animation window and choose ‘dispose’ for each one so you get:

aaah i’m sorry about that, xkit fucked up and ate the ask! apparently this was answered privately but i heckied up, anyway:
for a death to be just, it needs to be because someone needs to be killed, whether corrupt (grimbark, in this case) or otherwise. my take on it is that jade didn't need to be killed, since she reverted back to her normal self right before aranea crushed her. the clock was slowly moving to the center (which meant getting resurrected), but because of aranea’s “lucky 8r8k”, she was able to directly influence jade’s fate and thus, jade died.
so essentially she wasn’t supposed to, but aranea’s luck won out and now we have a dead jade :(
