in keeping with this, hussie went back and edited the pages to add the arm back in so that the continuity of the story remained. so john sticking his arm through canonically happened in past events. it’s pretty neat!

we have no idea, but i would assume they feel like bugs because they are based on bugs. more specifically, maggot-y/grub-y kind of insects; their skin feels kind of hardish and smooth? so trolls probably feel the same way

well, i can’t speak on behalf of everyone but my own partner is my support network. the old cliche ‘no one else understands me’. i personally think it would be unhealthy if you completely removed your relationship from having moirail-like qualities?

that said, i don’t think a human relationship can be 100% like having a moirail because it’s impossible? moirails are a 'platonic’ relationship where having romantic feelings ruins the relationship as you don’t have the other person’s best interests in mind – re: kanaya and vriska.

for trolls, all 4 quadrants should be separate and they all have specific functions and don’t overlap at all.

i think by human love, hussie might have meant the generalized 'affection that human couples show’. so kissing and having sex and holding hands ect. ect. (however, there is far more diversity to human relationships than this and every one is different. i’m emphasising generalized here.)

so to bring this all together into an answer

1. when homestuck said the matesprits are similar to human love, i think the best interpretation is the physical and romantic aspect of human’s 'cereal packet mother and father’ relationships because
2. all 4 quadrants should be separate and they all have specific functions and don’t overlap at all.
3. therefore trolls definition of matespritship shouldn’t overlap with moirails as they are separate relationships
4. however, in real life i don’t think it’s this simple–therefore i agree that human relationships are like moirails outside the context of homestuck
5. but in homestuck’s context we have to acknowledge that these are alien relationships that have been explained to us as being clearly different. therefore a matesprit in homestuck is not going to be your moirail or share moirail aspects. applying human logic to 'alien’ relationships is ruining the fact they are alien by trying to make them fit into human culture and rationale

hopefully you get what i’m saying here, i’m not sure how clear i made myself through my rambling ahaha!

terezi technically never had a lusus, as she grew up without any contact with it until she was blinded. we know that terezi then lived alone in a forest, presumably away from other civilisation.  

so they can live fine! terezi is perfectly capable of fighting and no-one seems to treat her any differently.

i would argue that this might be down to resilience: terezi seems to be able to cope with almost anything that is thrown at her. a troll who breaks under the smallest thing may not do so well :(

nah, terezi was being honest. terezi didn’t lie about anything to do with her eyes–she just avoided situations until she was ‘ready’ to come clean about it. if you want more evidence of why she was telling the truth, then uhh.. i guess terezi’s personality just explains it?

terezi had already spoken about how she thought she was a terrible person, talking about how she didn’t do a good enough job and how she couldn’t overcome vriska’s death. she was also being abused by gamzee. therefore, terezi was completely depressed at that point.

we also know she hero-worshipped redglare and pretended to be like her in almost every aspect of her life. latula is an alternate version of redglare. 

therefore, there’s no reason to doubt that she was feeling inferior to the alternate version of a woman she’d loved all her life, while she was already feeling like a shitty person.

we don’t know for sure.

there’s theories about the snakes, but the mods are half/half about whether this could stand up as the actual reason.

my own suggestion is the joker immunity trope.
