Ok, so I've been writing a fanfiction with my own characters, etc and I've encountered the area in the story where a Cherub goes godtier. In my story, the female cherub is evil and the male is good, so does the Lord/Muse class always go to the one who is domineering and the one who is artistic, or does the gender restriction prevent the Male one, who has a bit of artistic talent, from being the muse?

yeah the lord/muse class would technically be determined by the ‘binary’ gender division……. but the constraints of canon don’t really seem to matter so much in fanfiction… seeing as canon isn’t uh… exactly perfect in regards to a number of problematic reasons around gender ect. ect.
also we don’t know what muse and lord stem from, we can only make assumptions. domineering and strict emphasis on specific personality traits may have nothing to do with it. it’s about the passive/active balance more than anything.
hAHA basically, just fuck the rules and do what you think suits best. there’s not much guidance here because canon is.. difficult to stick to in fanfiction where it’s oc’s.. i wont go into it much more but.. yeah… do what you think works best :)

honestly? the concept as a whole can be troublesome, especially while using that terminology, but let’s not get into that here. if you must, stick with “rule 63.” although even that has the same meaning, soooooo.
edit: I’ve seen a lot of people use “presentation play” instead of genderbend because there’s no binarism involved and it’s a more general term. we’re definitely not the authorities on this, though!
