patron troll =/= zodiac sign

in homestuck, the patron troll is purely the troll that takes the most interest in the kid–for example, terezi is most interested in dave so she trolled him most and helped him out most, making her his patron troll. the term seems to be coined by rose, seeing as a patron is a person who supports and meets the needs of another 

She functions as his “patron troll”, a troll who is particularly focused on helping one of the kids

in the fandom people pick their patron trolls by zodiac sign although there are quizzes ect.

Was ‘Homestuck’ the only title you had in mind for Homestuck, or were there other titles you considered but decided not to use?

The only other candidate I considered was “Sburb”, which was a sort of deliberately ugly word reminiscent of the name of a Sim game. You could either liken it to Sim-burb, or to Spore, another crude 5-letter word beginning with S. But for that reason, that it’s kind of crude and really awkward to say, I thought it was best left as just the name of the game in the game.

Besides, Homestuck better follows the templates of the previous adventure titles, like Jailbreak.

i just checked their tumblr and it’s still 0.4.1 and the forums aren’t up to double check, but i’ll make sure to look again when i get the chance uvu

i have a picture of what it looks like at the bottom and an explanation there, but i’ll go into a little more detail.  

it takes everything out, although you can highlight the parts you want so you don’t end up with like 7k images. you can either rip whole folders, or rip individual images. it’s so simple, you just highlight what you want then hit ‘export resources’ and save it into a file. 

you see the uh, subsections on the image?

shape is usually stuff like the volume button, curtains and random other small details that aren’t actually sprites. images are your sprites and sound is, obviously, your sound. font is pretty self explanatory too, along with text. sprites are animated versions of the sprites, i don’t usually touch those and just rip images.

frames are literally every frame with the sprites merged together. frames rip in a film format and.. god don’t ever rip the frames you’ll regret your whole life in a matter of seconds

button is just the volume images again. action is the codes within the flash and misc tags aren’t worth looking at.

there’s other various features but i rarely ever use them, however everything is pretty much self-explanatory. it’s a cute little programme uvu

slightly back handed compliments aside

it takes no more than 10 minutes to check through the masterlist for something or to quickly google what you want instead of coming to us first for every single little thing. i didn’t even use to answer requests that were found within the first search result of google and  i used to just tell people to google it, so i feel having to deal with a little sass on a very blatant ask which has taken no effort to even look for the answer is a step up from there

i mean we like helping but people act pretty entitled about what we owe them and if you can’t be bothered to put the effort in of checking a list then why should be bother to put in the effort back?? fair enough if you’ve looked and can’t find it because sometimes the categorizing isn’t obvious to people, but most of it is blatantly labelled…..

we’re not hussie’s official q&a team, we’re three teenagers who aren’t robots and don’t have every panel of homestuck memorized and have personalities which border on naturally sarcastic and sassy (also handsome witty and charming) even before i added b and m, i was re-directing people with about 4 words so the ~nostalgia~ about how this blog used to be is confusing to probably the one of the very few people who actually knows what this blog has been like from the beginning—seeing as i fucking made it

you also forget that for every request that someone could have googled in 6 seconds that we answer, theres about 5 more in the same day that we didn’t answer! it saves everyone time if you just take a minute to look for yourself before coming to us

this is like the 100th ask where we’ve had to justify ourselves and like…. if you don’t like it then unfollow us and don’t come to us for resources? we’re not gonna hunt you down and beat you to death because you chose not to use our blog?? we don’t have the time for it in the first place

wow yeah sorry to jump on one of the more flattering asks we’ve received about this, and this isn’t actually directed at you fetus-fun; it more serves as a collected response to cover the 3 different complaints we get. this will be the last ask we answer about the state of hsr and how we are ruining nuclear families all over the country
