may I say that using the term "stronger than that" about suicide is kind of implying. that you're weak if you're considering it? like, when they are considering it, they aren't in the right state of mind. they aren't weak, and I have friends who have been suicidal before and that has really upset me, and them. :C That was a poor choice of words, I suppose. I apologize if I upset anyone with my terrible phrasing, and have edited the post in question.
However, I do not take back any of my previous statements. There is no reason for Karkat to be considered or “headcanoned” as suicidal, and doing so directly contradicts canon. Never once has he said or implied that he wanted to die or thought anything or anyone would be better off without him. He may hate himself, but hating oneself does not necessarily mean one wants to harm or kill themselves.
I will take this opportunity to say that I do not care if I’m “bashing your headcanon” because headcanons are meant to be little things that are not touched or expanded upon in canon, and are meant to coexist with canon. By their very nature, a headcanon that contradicts canon is not a headcanon at all, but a complete disregard for canon at best. At worst – as it is in this case – it can lead to the bastardization of a character.
By saying or implying or headcanoning that Karkat self-harms or is suicidal, you are ignoring many of his most prominent traits. Additionally, it is a blatant romanticization of such things in most cases.
This is a morbid question but has Karkat ever said it would have been better if he had never existed at all? I ask because a long time ago a headcanon was posted that Karkat had attempted suicide many times and someone reblogged and said Karkat has never shown ANY suicidal inclination. If Karkat did say that, then it's not unreasonable to say he might be suicidal. NO THIS ISN’T CANON IT IS NOT A CANON THING HE IS NOT SUICIDAL IF YOU BELIEVE HE WOULD BE SUICIDAL/SELF-HARM YOU HAVE HIS ENTIRE CHARACTER!!!! WRONG!!!!! HE WANTS TO LIVE IF HE WANTED TO DIE ALL HE WOULD HAVE TO SAY IS “LEL IM A MUTANT” AND HE WOULD BE CULLED INSTANTLY IF YOU ACTUALLY THINK KARKAT WOULD EVEN CONSIDER DOING THAT YOU HAVE HIS ENTIRE CHARACTER HORRIBLY WRONG, BYE

To anon wondering about the bones and nails: we've seen dreamer Vriska have blue nails, but all other trolls seem to have yellow nails. Also when the canon fantrolls were killed, we saw their skeletons; which were revealed to be similar to that of a humans. yep vriska paints her nails
