Okay, so, i understand the trolls and beta kids and shit being like scratch selfs and stuff. but are the ancestors the alternates of the dancestors or are the completely different? the ancestors didnt actually play the game and make scratch versions of themselves, did they?

in A2, what were meenah and the crew’s ancestors become karkat’s gang, and they play sburb. their ancestors are the alpha trolls. the condesce is the scratch version of meenah, the sufferer is the scratch version of kankri, etc
we have yet to see any of the beta trolls as ancestors in the A1 universe and we probably never will

hey! so i was reading through the doc scratch section and i got the idea that karkat gave the beta kids' universe cancer (jack noir), but also gamzee after he went berserk said that he concentrated his rage and made their universe terminal, and i assume he means with cancer. so who really did what? thanks ^^
well, karkat gave the universe cancer, and gamzee made the cancer terminal (deadly)
