To the anon from a bit ago who asked why Karkat's mutation was bad, but Sollux's and the Summoner's weren't, it's probably because Karkat's (and Kankri/Signless') took them off the hemospectrum, which was very important to The Condesce for controlling troll society, making them outcasts, while Sollux's was useful (see: The Helmsman) and The Summoner's was probably kept hidden just because he wanted to wait for the right moment to get more trolls to follow his cause

Would a session necessarily have to have players who are from both Prospit and Derse? Or could a session have players from just derse or vice versa

in homestuck, there hasn’t been a session shown where there aren’t both derse and prospit dreamers

as far as fansessions go, do whatever you want

Saying stuff like "there aren't beds on Alternia" seems close-minded. The four kids we see all live very American lives. A lot of cultures on Earth don't use beds, but they aren't represented in the comic. It's likely that on a planet like Alternia that a lot of trolls don't even have hives, let alone recuperacoons.

yeah that’s fair, but earth is a bunch of different cultures and consists of actual, real people, whereas (as far as we know) alternia is a single empire ruled very uniformly by one (control freak-ish) woman

there might be trolls who don’t have recuperacoons, but in the comic universe hussie’s made up world where anyone who doesn’t fit in is killed, trolls lacking a standard lusus/hive/respiteblock unit are probably very rare
