Could the Cronus 8 thing be a reference to Vriska and Tavros? I know Cronus probably doesn't know about them (then again, dream bubble shenanigans), but Hussie knows that the audience knows and it could just be referencing that and how Tavros is "broken" in regards to blackrom.

I can't find any actual canon evidence for this, but I had the same question about Cronus' use of 8s, and it was explained to me that it was theorized he used 8s because he was the descendent of a Serket in some.. capacity. Not sure how.

To the anon, kissed by blood player can't be a contribution to becoming a rainbow drinker, because Porrim and Kanaya mention that becoming a rainbow drinker is a /Jade/ trait and has happened before in the brooding caverns. We don't know the exact circumstances needed, but we know that Karkat or the Sufferer weren't going around kissing a lot of dead jadebloods okay because the jadebloods were underground.
