fUCK THEY DO

aradia is fucking amazing. this girl was exploring tombs and ruins with her lusus and that is a hobby that is barely even a thing any more, let alone a girl getting down and dirty finding new places and digging up history. aradia is one of the most important players in the whole fucking comic because she orchestrated everything, she knew what was happening and she set everyone up and manipulated them. and sometimes she’s fucking batshit and lacks a sense of right and wrong, sometimes we can’t even tell if she’s on the right side with her plans–but that’s okay, girls can have negative traits and it makes her 3d!! she has flaws and it’s great and she’s so different for it! 

but more positive traits? she’s intelligent, determined, eccentric, compassionate, perceptive and she’s a fucking good leader. she’s selfless in destroying herself for her teammates too. she was a great friend to tavros, a lover of adventure, and the most batshit girl in the whole female cast. 

and yeah there were times when she was kinda boring because she was so emotionless BUT SHE WAS DEAD. SHE WAS SO DEAD AND SO DEAD AFTER BEING USED BY GHOSTS AND SPENDING SO MUCH TIME AROUND DEAD PEOPLE AND THEIR WHISPERS AND THE DEAD PEOPLE. WHAT PART OF DEAD BRINGS ABOUT CONNOTATION OF RAINBOWS AND HAPPINESS AND SUNSHINE SHE WAS FUCKING DEAD BECAUSE HER BOYFRIEND WAS MANIPULATED INTO KILLING HER BY HER OLD FRIEND–I THINK SHE EARNED THE RIGHT TO BE AS MISERABLE AS SHE WANTED AT THAT POINT.

but in reality she wasn’t THAT emotionless. re-read her logs. she’s very very very dead-pan in her humour, but it works and she’s fucking hilarious. she’s sassy with sollux and patient with nepeta. in fact, she WAS STILL GETTING SHIT DONE. she directed nepeta into how to bring her back to ‘life’. she even held her responsibilities close enough to carry on with the dreambubbles, setting herself up as looking after the dead and explaining the afterlife.

she was a frog at one point. she was a ghost. she was a god. she was the only troll to stop the enemy in his track and survive to carry on (vriska/terezi/karkat all died in offshoot timelines). she was the brains of the operation (along with terezi, and arguably vriska–THE MALE TROLLS FUCKED UP SO BAD AND NEVER CONTRIBUTED TO A PLAN THAT WORKED. APART FROM THAT ONE TIME KARKAT ACCIDENTALLY DID SOMETHING RIGHT, bless him–i do like karkat really, i swear ;). sollux also never really came up with his own ideas, aradia and terezi told him what to do, but that’s the nature of his personality and i digress) 

aradia was so complex and still is. she’s a great female and i hope you all remember that.

ps. i’m not saying that the ways she manipulated sollux were ethical at all, and i wouldn’t want to imply that–it was terrible on him, you can see that from his reaction. but it makes her more complex and sooooo much more than '0_0’

when i was like 14 my best friend would send me their videos to freak me out, but i don’t think that counts.

yeah there are stores in the uk but they’re very specific to certain locations and they are so overpriced. i understand it’s because of importing but you can get it so much cheaper on amazon most of the time.

also i can’t buy faygo in my local american store in bath or in portsmouth. i think i couldn’t find it in southampton either. however, if you are in southampton you should find the pretzel stand and eat auntie annes because that was the best part of america and i’m so happy there’s one here.

i think all you really have to do is look at all the homestuck females and then look at all the homestuck males.

all the homestuck females get so much more shit than the males do. feferi is seen as a bitch, or as boring. terezi is seen as a bitch with no complex thoughts or empathic morals. vriska is seen as just a bitch, despite the fact her moral character arc was so much more clearer/explicit than terezi’s. nepeta is seen as a defenseless little girl who only exists to bumlick karkat and try to kill terezi. kanaya is a boring lesbian. aradia? who? 

jane is a bitch. rose is a frigid bitch. jade is a stupid baby who needs protecting by dave. roxy is actually ok because she doesn’t get in the way of my dirk/jake shipping, unlike that bitch jane. 

and then karkat? oh well he used some slurs and treated people like shit at points but he’s a precious baby. eridan kills feferi and aims to be as much as an asshole as possible in destroying anyone coming out of the beta session alive? that bitch feferi made him, my poor precious baby. gamzee is canonically abusing a female with some proof that he is aware of it and not ‘mindlessly’ being controlled? he’s a precious baby. caliborn is a misogynistic piece of shit who verbally abuses jane? he’s a precious baby look at him with daddy gamzee!!! 

females are treated like fucking shit in this fandom. homestuck has a lot of faults but hussie actually writes amazing women—it’s just the fandom who come across and fucking massacre these women who don’t hate each other as much as the fandom want them to. these women CANONICALLY don’t need a single fucking man to defend them, and yet they’re downplayed to that. 

feferi is a fucking badass who wants peace and love but isn’t gonna get stepped on in the process. she chose loyalty to her friends over her own survival, and poured her fucking heart into relationship with sollux. not to mention how well she got on with everyone else.

she made mistakes sure, but so does everyone and she made 200 less mistakes than karkat, gamzee, eridan, caliborn, kankri, kurloz and almost every other male character you can name.

yet who is the one who gets the most shit for it? fucking feferi. 

and, who is the one who is selfless when it comes to her own life and saving all these fucking male characters above? mother fucking feferi peixes.

One day, they fell asleep together. Kurloz then had a nightmare so terrifying, he released the most dreadful sound imaginable. It truly echoed the horror of the Vast Honk itself.
