So basically shortly after the Life and Void merchandise came along a week or so ago, I started wondering about the colours of the merch and listing them for reference.  Just sampling the photos of the merch would’ve been very prone to error and inaccuracy, so what did I do? I tracked down the websites of the three shirt manufacturers, looked up each individual colour and arranged them into a fairly large reference sheet.

This is what I do to amuse myself.

Considering the proliferation of God Tier art, this sort of thing may be pretty useful, so here we are, putting it up.  Go nuts.  Please?

A few notes:

• The top colour in each merch-version block is the hoodie colour, the bottom left is the standard shirt, and the bottom-right is the ladies’ shirt.  Remember, according to Hussie, the hoodie‘s colour corresponds with that of the in-comic God Tier shirt, and the shirt colour(s) correspond to the in-comic pants/dress and hood/cape.  For the in-comic Breath, Light, Time and Space blocks, I’ve added secondary colours where available; these are for the shadows and drawn lines present in the same areas (so the secondary colour for the bottom-right Light colour is from the line around where the button-flaps on Vriska’s hood are, accomodating for getting her horns through the thing).
• When/if the eight other God Tier outfits show up in Homestuck proper, there’s a very good chance they’ll vary at least slightly in colour from what you see here, so these shouldn’t be taken as absolutely, exactly canonical, but more of a general guide.  Hussie has mentioned that the God Tier merchandise is only an approximation of the intended in-comic colour based on what is actually available from the producers of the base shirts, and also with what works for merchandise in mind.  Additionally, the three palette lists contain the disclaimer that due to inevitable rendering differences based on one’s individual monitor, the colours listed on the site - and by extension, charted here - may look slightly different from the actual shirts/hoodies.
• For some reason, the listed colour of the Doom hoodie (Jerzees Hunter Green) does not exist/is not listed on-site, nor do either of the others have a colour by that name.  I’ve no idea whether the “Hunter Green” thing is an error on the end of What Pumpkin, or if it actually exists and simply isn’t listed or something.  As a cop-out, the closest-matching Jerzees colour, Forest Green, is listed instead.  If you feel you have a closer colour to how the Hunter Green hoodie looks, by all means use that instead.
