Homestuck Keyboard Layouts for Mac

I have several keyboard layouts here that I made to imitate troll quirks without having to use a generator or stick only to MSPARP or Pesterchum! As far as I know, these only work on a Mac, and these instructions are for OS X 10.6.

1. Unarchive the .zip file in your Library/Keyboard Layouts folder
2. Open System Preferences and go to Language & Text.
3. The layouts are unnamed (I have yet to figure out how to name them) but they will be a long list of “U.S.” keyboard layouts, accompanied by a generic keyboard icon.
4. Check all the boxes; you will find your keyboard layout options on the bar at the top of your screen, between your volume and date/time display.

As a warning you may need to restart the program you want to type after adding the layouts. I have found Skype and AIM will not let you type in them after adding a layout until they are restarted.

QUIRKS INCLUDED:

• Aradia: 0’s for o, can be used for dead!Sollux
• Sollux: ii and 2, have yet to see if I can replace to/too with two
• Terezi/Latula: aie/AIE=413
• Vriska(/Aranea?): b/B=8, also typing the : key (shift+;) produces :::: automatically
• Equius: x=% and typing shift+> produces D –> automatically
• Eridan: ww and vv
• Feferi: h=)( and shift+e produces -E (up to you to add more hyphens)
• Rufioh: i=1
• Mituna: A=4, E=3, I=1, O=0, S=5, T=7
• Kankri: b/B=6, o/O=9
• Porrim: O/o/0 all have a + appended (i.e. O+, o+, 0+)
• Cronus: w produces wv, and v produces vw; capital B produces 8

Not all layouts are mapped to both capitals and lowercase!!!
