we don’t see dave’s eyes until after act 5 act 2! it’s from the flash jade: wake up, so if you haven’t watched that flash then you haven’t passed it yet :)

I only think that because of Karkat's comments about Rosemary. The fandom was concerned because he said, " NO WAIT! IT'S ACTUALLY MY FAULT AGAIN! IF I HAD BEEN ON THE BALL AND AUSPISTICIZED BETWEEN HER AND ROSE, SHE WOULD HAVE HAD THE TIME TO AUSPISTICIZE BETWEEN YOU AND GAMZEE!"(007830) They obviously aren't blackrom, and Karkat considers himself a master of the quadrants; he would never define a relationship inaccurately. Hence, I think that an auspistice helps any relationship that needs it.

To clarify what you were saying to anon; While trolls have a main kismesis, they can also have rivalries with other trolls. An auspistice prevents every rivalry from developing into a caliginous relationship. Also, some of the context in which it has been used suggests that anyone who mediates between two people, regardless of their quadrant, can be considered an auspistice. Also, one can require an auspistice even if they don't already have an existing kismesis; black relationships can be bad.

i disagree when you say that mediators auspistice regardless of quadrants, but other than that, yeah!

one more question though; since i'm aware an auspistice prevents two kismesis/kesmesises (?) from killing one another, other than that one fact, if it pulled them out from all black relations they had been, wouldn't it be somewhat haphazardly to the reproduction of the species? (also would that mean being an auspistice is almost a kind of useless quadrant unless it prevents two trolls from killing one another?)

quite the contrary, actually, and auspisitice is most definitely NOT a useless quadrant! it is, in fact, one of the most important!!!!

This quadrant involves a particular type of three-way relationship of a black romantic nature. Falling on the conciliatory side, it has no bearing on the reproductive cycle, except for indirect ramifications.

Since such lesser feuds are quite common among trolls, there is a significant need for auspisticing parties. Without them, too many ashen feuds would become caliginous, and begin to conflict with other exclusive kismesis relationships, leading to a great deal of social complexity and sore feelings (even more so than black romance usually involves). Without auspisticism, the result would be widespread black infidelity.
