Hi! Sorry if this question has already been asked, but when prototyping a sprite, does one of the objects HAVE to be from a once living person or animal? Could you theoretically use inanimate objects for both prototypings? the kernelsprite really likes to have something alive/dead in it, but there can be rare occasions when this doesn’t happen, apparently! the only times it’s happened in homestuck though have been with the alpha session (which was void) and the shitty shit head asshole shit session (which was dead), sooo
with that thing about dream selves dying... does that mean that if aradia had never prototyped herself, that she would have immediately god tiered when she entered? uuhhh no her dreamself was still alive because she was a weird special case I guess :0
ive been rereading homestuck and ive noticed that in the alpha kids' session on derse and prospit their dreamselves seem to be a lot more involved. and i mean like there are always assassination attempts on them and the prospitians and dersites seem to idolize them a lot more than in the beta kids' session. is there a reason for this or am i just missing something? dreamselves were a lot less developed when homestuck started so that might have something to do with it, and also with the beta kids, jade was the only one who had any clue about what dreamselves even were before the session began
Another real quick question, once something is prototyped, is it possible to remove said object from the sprite any other way than via time travel, or would you need to go back in time similar to what Dave did? yeah time travel is all you can really do :0
Are there any specific requirements regarding a session's scratch construct other than using Echidna's quills or some other object to damage it enough, or is damaging it with said object enough to cause a scratch? nah not really, damaging it a little bit is all that’s necessary it seems! the exact requirements probably change a little bit from construct to construct though
Ok so, I've been going through the wiki looking for this and I haven't found an answer so I was wondering; do we know how exactly do the alpha kids (or really the trolls for that matter) move from planet to planet, do they just kind of transport- think about it and they're there- or is there some kind of device that allows them to do this? (before the advancing through the seven gates and after) they seem to just use the gates, actually! not much more complicated than that :0
